Where, oh where, to start? We have been through so much in the past few weeks it is hard to determine where to begin explaining the changes that have taken place in our life.
First off, if I hadn't mentioned it before on this blog, we decided to sell our 3 bedroom/2 bath house and build a home on some land Brent's parent's gave us next to their house.
I'll be posting regular pictures of the progress of the house as soon as construction is under way, which should be late next week.
Where our future home will be :)
We thought our home would sell pretty fast but I don't think we were fully prepared for it to go the way it did. Our home was only on the market a little over 30 days before we received a CASH offer and the buyer wanted us out within 2 weeks. Que PANIC!
But, somehow, we pulled it off. Well, I know how, with A LOT of help from friends and family and A LOT of late nights on our part packing and moving things to storage. Keep in mind, I can't lift much because I'm 6+ months pregnant...so kudos to Brent for doing the majority of this stuff himself. We also decided not to cancel our plans with family during the two weekends we had before we were supposed to close on our house, so we spent our weekends up North of Dallas with family instead of at home packing and moving.
We spent one entire Sunday finishing A LOT of our packing and with the help of our great friends, The Paynes, The McKowns and Jessica Kolar, we packed and moved all of our big items to our new temporary home in one day. Whew! It was a killer. We then spent every night the rest of the week before we closed finishing our packing and moving what we could to storage while Gran and Grandaddy watched the girls for us each night.
Our new temporary home is at Gran and Grandaddy's house, right next to our construction site. They graciously offered to take us in since our house sold so fast and allow us to live with them until our house is complete. We have pretty much taken over, bless their hearts!
We also seemed to find some time a few weeks ago to fit in a photo session with our friend, Becky Kudelka. She always does such a great job taking pictures for us and this time she even agreed to do a full shoot of the entire Huse family. It was so fun and totally worth all the little tantrums. :)I must have compressed these pics down too far because they didn't come across all that great on the blog, but trust me, they look great!

Gran, Grandaddy, Uncle Adam, Aunt Elizabeth and us with the girls
So, we've settled in, and we decided to spend Memorial Day weekend relaxing at home. We did find some time to hit up the West Pool for the first time with the girls. I have a feeling we will be going there a lot when the girls are old enough to swim without someone with them the entire time.
I feel guilty every night when I have been meaning to put a post together and just don't have the time or energy lately to sit down at the computer. But, I am going to try harder to keep up with more regular postings now that we aren't in transition and are a little more settled.
